In this class we had to design a product related to camping. This light could be used as a flashlight as well as a shared light source when opened up.

Role of a Campfire
I started out by figuring out what a campfire provides. I wanted to focus more on the light and bonding experience that campfires provide.
Bonding Experience
There's something special about gathering around a campfire and sharing a story with friends and family. I wanted to create a product that could recreate this environment while also being portable and mess free.
Cardboard Prototype
I started with cardboard prototypes to get a better idea on scale and form.
Foam mock-ups
I started to work with foam to have a better understanding of how it will be made for my final prototytpe.
Sketching Forms
I sketched out some simple shapes to finalize the design.
Finalizing Design
I sketched out the final design and put call outs on all the parts that will be included.
Orthographic
I figured out the dimensions and drew a section view for reference when making the product.
